What does a jewellery designer do?
Jewellery designers oversee the planning and execution of the manufacturing of jewellery products using their creative and material expertise. Many people produce sample goods to sell to customers or produce custom designs based on clients' ideas or requirements.
Duties and tasks
Consider the needs and requests of the client when developing designs, and make any necessary modifications to accommodate the client's preferences.
Create fresh and cutting-edge jewellery designs to market to buyers of fine and trendy jewellery.
Create jewellery based on the category and market for jewellery while keeping up with new trends and consumer preferences through research and market studies.
In order to achieve design goals, oversee jewellery production from conception to completion.
Prepare jewellery design samples and drawings for the client's review.
Create an estimated budget for the total cost of production and suggest and order the materials and processes required for small and large jewellery orders.
Work closely with the manufacturing, sales, and management teams to produce the best design possible.
